I know it sounds stupid, and I don't know if I'm the only one who usually only feels somewhat muscular when they actually are lifting. Like I think I feel and look scrawny when I'm not working out. And working out as in weight lifting. I'm not exactly skinny, I'm not fat, but I just look average... And what I want to look like is somewhat big. I'm not tall by any means haha, I just want more meat on the bones if you will. I've had a hard time gaining weight. Although I have gained. Doing a 5x5 FYI. So just curious, any solutions, and does anyone else feel like this?
Only feeling muscular when actually lifting? You're feeling bigger when lifting cause you have more blood pumping through your muscles. Just keep eating and lifting.
Only feeling muscular when actually lifting? How long have you been working out? Since I started in the summer, all I pretty much wore were tank tops. Now that school started a month ago I started wearing my normal tshirts. I noticed a difference right away; it was tighter around my shoulders, chest, arms, and I filled them out a lot more than I did before I started. As more muscle builds you tend to notice it I guess? Like while walking around you may be conscious of certain muscles that you never noticed before, like your lats, traps, maybe chest, etc.
Only feeling muscular when actually lifting? It is from blood and lactic acid build up in your muscles while you're working out
Only feeling muscular when actually lifting? Ummm been lifting since November 2011. Been doing a 5x5 like 2-3 months now. It's not that I haven't noticed change, it's just not much. I've gained, gotten stronger, but only a little bigger. At times I can feel big like I do when I lift. I guess I just should just continue what I'm doing.
Only feeling muscular when actually lifting? Have you bulked while simultaneously doing a mass building program? Try eating 500+ over maintenance and maybe a mass building program, although 5x5 should still work.
Only feeling muscular when actually lifting? I've been trying to eat more. I am taking more protein that I usually do though.
