Oh my goodness so I'm young, but I fear I am developing a hunchback. Or maybe I just slouch too much, either way I am worried. My upper back hurts and I've been more preoccupied about my posture than ever before. Can anyone recommend any stretches/back exercises? I should probably stop spending so much time in front of the computer...
I think the safest thing you can do to prevent it besides trying to get a good posture is to actually wear one of those special bra looking things for your back, they will help a lot and there's really no shame or reason not to wear it.
I've been to physical therapy for back pain, and the main thing they had me do was exercises to strengthen my core. The biggest one was lots, and LOTS of planks. Make sure you have a good chair/desk set up if you are working on the computer all day. Even better would be a standing desk! Either way, take lots of breaks throughout the day to stretch and move about a bit.
My lower back has been hurting for more than twenty years now and I've learned to live with it since it's still tolerable. Then again, sometimes it's just hard to move and I can't help but wishing it was gone because I can't remember the last time when I didn't feel anything whenever I try to get out of bed. Just yesterday I thought of looking for YouTube videos for exercise to ease lower back pain and I've found a couple of them. Most of them are actually yoga workouts. I did it a couple of minutes and I'll be doing a different one tomorrow. I'm looking forward to painless morning in the future now.
