      Hey Everyone,

Let’s dive into a topic that’s often debated—bodyweight exercises. Can you really build muscle without lifting weights, or are weights a must? With more of us looking for ways to train effectively outside of the gym or with minimal equipment, it’s a great time to talk about how far bodyweight workouts can take you in terms of muscle building.

There’s a common perception that you need to lift heavy to grow, but plenty of people have built impressive physiques with just push-ups, pull-ups, and squats. However, the key seems to be progressive overload, even with bodyweight training.

      Some points to discuss:

      • What are your go-to bodyweight exercises for strength and muscle growth?
      • Have you found creative ways to increase resistance (like weighted vests, changing angles, or adding reps)?
      • Do you combine bodyweight training with weights, or do you stick strictly to bodyweight exercises?
If you’re someone who has built or maintained muscle primarily with bodyweight training, we’d love to hear about your routines and how you structure your workouts. Let’s get some tips out there for the community on how to make the most of bodyweight exercises!

      Stay strong!

      Cheers,

      Mark

Well, my concern is to lose weight. I have tried dieting and also Keto, but my body doesn't responded well to it. So, finally, I followed the advice of my dietician and replaced my dinner with healthy salads and boiled chicken.

      Hi Matthew,

It’s great to hear you’re making those dietary adjustments – combining healthy salads and lean proteins like boiled chicken is a fantastic way to support muscle-building goals. With bodyweight exercises, you can absolutely make progress on muscle tone and strength, especially when using techniques like progressive overload (e.g., adding reps or trying harder variations over time). Keep us updated on how your journey is going, and don’t hesitate to ask if you need exercise tips that work alongside your new meal plan!

Yes, I think now that I have lost about 10 kgs, it is becoming challenging day by day, but I am never going to give up and continue my journey to hopefully get the desired weight loss.
