Hey everyone just have a quick question. Is it better to have high carbs or low carbs in your diet during a bulk? Ive been doing high carbs and protein and low fat but a trainer I know said I should be doing low carbs like around only 70 a day. And that's going to be really hard on a bulk. So if anyone has any advice or input it would be greatly appreciated thank you.
carbs during a bulk I feel going low carb is very depriving. I wouldn't want to feel deprived of all things on a bulk.
carbs during a bulk Yea I know that's what I said apparently it can blow you up but with all my research and such everyone says when your on a bulk your carbs should be up as well as your protein. I just wanted to make sure in supposed to have high carbs for ny bulk.
carbs during a bulk Protein, 0.8-1g/lb on a bulk. Need for protein is less on a bulk and carbs are protein sparing.
carbs during a bulk This is complete nonsense; you've been greatly mislead. You need to avoid whomever you've been talking to; he's clueless. Besides adequate protein, you need adequate fat, at least 1/2 gram per pound of body weight. After those two essentials are accounted for, you can then fill the remainder of your calorie requirements with carbs (or more protein and/or fat). Carbs are needed not only to fuel heavy training but also to get you through the remainder of your day. They also help spare protein, which may be used as an energy source if carbs are inadequate. You need to start all over again, here: *Emma-Leigh's calorie/macro thread: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...hp?t=121703981 *Emma-Leigh's Nutrition for noobs: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...hp?t=136691851
