Acne Problems ... There are a few diet related things that may make a difference for you, foods that cause people with sensitivities to react badly and complicate what would otherwise be a few pimples here and there. Most of the time people can handle a decent amount of aggravators before they cause any issue, some less than others. -milk products (milk, cheese, whey) (some people have terrible problems with milk, especially in the U.S. where there is less regulation on hormone usage) -excess iodine (salt, seaweed if you're a sushi guy, asparagus, most commercial fast foods, some multi-vitamins) -some people theorize that acidic foods can also be a problem -too much red meat -too much sugar (whole fresh fruit doesn't really count, unless in excess. juice does.) -like mentioned above, make sure you aren't deficient in any micro nutrients (zinc is a huge one, same with vitamin A and selenium) Personally, I've always had a sensitivity to milk products, including whey. When I cut them out at 15 y/o, most of my acne cleared up within the month. Obviously, some of it is always going to be hormone related earlier in life, but check out possible diet sensitivities before you use cycles of accutane or any harsh drugs like it. I'd recommend dove body wash and a gentle facial cleanser (spectro-jel for sensitive skin if you can get it, cetaphil if not). Harsh soaps (most body washes) can be pretty irritating to the acne condition. Remember to moisturize as well with something light and non-comedogenic (aveeno). See an allergist and dermatologist. Allergist to rule out any allergies that could be irritating your skin and contributing to the acne, and derm for obvious reasons. Good luck man. EDIT: Yeah, and don't shower twice a day unless you work out and shower after later in the day.
Acne Problems ... You do not need any designer creams. You can try any cream with Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5%-5% twice daily(Once if your skin is sensitive). Another proven ingredient is Salicyclic Acid, but Benzoyl Peroxide has given me better results. Most of my acne has gone away by washing my face often throughout the day. Just enough so my face won't get dry. It could also be anything in your diet. It has not been proven to cure acne, but you can give a good multivitamin some sort of micronutrient might be the cause. I notice a large increase in acne when out in the Las Vegas sun for a long time. You can avoid sun exposure and use water based sunscreens. If everything fails, a dermatologist is your best option. In my worst times of acne I needed a very strong medication @ $4 a pill once daily which is expensive! Then I received a smaller medication @ $1 a pill. My worst part of puberty is over now and I use no special medication. Benzoyl Peroxide at nights and washing my face a few times a day.
Acne Problems ... I've been experimenting on what is causing the acne and I haven't been drinking milk or eating too many dairy products. I think at this point I NEED to see a dermatologist to figure out why this is happening. And I get a nervous and sweat a lot so when I get home I pretty much need a second shower, I don't see myself changing that.
