  • Are these peanuts ok?

      I'm on a bullk of 2400 daily calories right now and i found these peanuts yesterday. I'm wondering if their nutritional values per 100g are ok, or too much in some areas :
      Kcal 620
      Protein 25
      Carbs 12
      Fat 53

      What scares me is the high number of fat...or is it normal?
      If they are ok, it would make my bulking very easy, piece of cake.

      thats normal, just lower it to 50 grams a day if you want a smaller serving. fats dont make you fat

      But does it make a difference in the energy that i get if for example i eat 50g of carbs from pasta instead of the 50g of fat from peanuts? Or the body turns both to energy the same way as long as i reach 2400 kcals?

      That is a pretty high amount of fat. I usually don't worry about how much fat I'm in-taking as long as it is not saturated or trans fat, and train like a freak to burn it off!

      If they fit your macros, eat them. Are you sure you're putting on weight at 2400 cals?

      Nothing at all as long as it's in moderation. I suppose I should have said not to take in as much saturated fat. Saturated fat mixed with polyunsaturated fats can lead to dangerously increased cholesterol levels. Didn't mean it was bad for you, because it certainly has it's benefits such as vitamins and minerals. But too much can be bad.

      They don't change the HDL:LDL ratio though.

      bich plz. Polyunsaturated fat is the dangerous one, not saturated.
