Someone I ran in to the other day was telling me they were eating around 1200 calories. Eating a small meal (chicken breast, Roast beef exc.) and drinking 3 protein shakes per day along with a multivitamin and a B complex. Total protein was around 140 grams. Would this be "feeding the muscle not the fat" or would your body just burn through the protein and use it as energy?
can you get by on 1200 cals?? (SRS) depends on a variety of things. A smaller individual could maintain muscle at those calories. For most individuals it would be too low and would lead to muscle loss
can you get by on 1200 cals?? (SRS) on a cut.. protein is king. If you get enough protein then you can let your overall calories get pretty damn low and still maintain strength
