      Alright everyone!

      My name is Sam.

      22 Years old, 6ft 6 and around 11st 4.

Once started a weight training programme with a friend when I was much younger and didn't take it seriously at all despite enjoying myself!

Lots has changed since then. My metabolism though hasn't! Have just in the last few months managed to put on a few pounds. I'm hoping its finally time for my metabolism to slow down and me to start gaining some weight!

Don't want to be huge or do lifting competitively, just want to get a fair bit bigger to at least fill out my 6ft6 frame! Always been the lanky one and hoping I can start to change that.

Learning so much from the forum already. Will keep on reading and learning until I have a plan for how to progress in terms of diet and training. Hopefully that will be in a couple of weeks. I'm sure to post it here for critique when I'm done with it!

Hopefully get to speak to some of you in the boards!

      Thanks all!
      Sam

I'm 6 ft 7 and started out at 12 stone, I'm at 16 stone now, not doing great but definitely progressed! Stick with it, keep eating big and lifting as heavy as YOU can and you'll progress.

Thanks Double - sounds like your doing well? How long have you been training? What sort of kcals are you hitting a day? I've always been quite a big eater so I think I'm going to try and go pretty big with the diet.

      Evening All!

Err just over a year and a bit, started out 12 stone skinny as anything, wanted to get away from that 'lanky' image so ate everything I saw for the first 12 months, went from 12 stone to 19 stone but put on serious amounts of chub, always carried it well though because I'm tall and was no longer seen as lanky! Wrong way about it but it worked.

Since then I've spent the last 3-4 months cutting and im down to 15 stone 8 now! eating about 2000kcal a day, 300g protein 50g fats 30g carbs, or there abouts

What I'd say is just keep training heavy, eat until you cant eat anymore, and then eat some more! Might be the wrong way but I'd say for a short term fix it works
