I got rid of it over a year ago. It's a f*cking cancer on social interaction! People display the 'front stage' of their lives, giving an unrealistic presentation of their life to them selfs as much as others.

In parody format, you would be in a club and everyone in there is wondering around with a name badge on and a bundle of photo albums under their arm, that they drop on the table in front of you as soon as you meet, allowing you to make a false reality and observation on them as an individual.

Relationships without Facebook are far smoother. Meeting new people and getting to know them over the the true course of time and knowing them for who they are at that stage in their life and not based on photo's and post from their past is genuine and real. The nights when your friends or partner go out without you were never of huge concern to people, until Facebook! Now people end, due to photo's or stories on Facebook. They are given access to a situation that they see only in photo format and are therefore give their fears leeway to command their interpretation of the situation.

Its a load of b*llox. It's also addictive. I cancelled it for a reason but still had to get used to taking my phone out of my pocket on auto-pilot and then realising I had nothing to check once it was out. So I understand peoples objection towards identifying it as a negative, but I firmly believe it is

Yup. I was unfaithful and facebook was an instrumental tool in doing so. After getting rid of it though, I could see many more benefits in doing so, aside from only removing a window of opportunity. So for that reason I stand by what I said above. Only once id got rid of it was i able to really see how life limiting it is

Erm I don't think that's all true, I personally deleted mine for work reasons and because people have been gettin sacked for putting things on Facebook. People do use it to cheat and stuff but what happened to cheating face to face?

It is what you make of it, I use it as a tool to keep in touch with people.

Coming from a time when we didn't have mobile phones and when you arranged to meet your mate in the pub at 8pm you just had to wait for him to turn up I could easily do without it but it makes life easier so why would I?
