My leg day currently looks like this: 5x5 Squat 4x8 SLDL or Hamstring Curl 4x15 Seated Calf Raise 3x12 Weighted Lunges (I also do deads on a different day) I want to good strength in my legs, but to be honest, I don't want the typical big bodybuilding legs (I just can't get into how that looks). I'm not one of those skinny ass kids with chicken legs, but I don't want them to get much bigger than they currently are. If my goal in legs would just be strictly for strength and not much hypertrophy, should I just focus on squatting or should I keep doing what I'm doing? I understand that not wanting thick legs makes me some sort of a "pussy", so no need to remind me
just squat or full leg day? Yes are you. 5'11 166lbs...skinny chicken legs. If you want leg strength then you're going to have to squat...a lot. 3x a week is a good start.
just squat or full leg day? I hear where you're coming from, but I can honestly say it's not because I want an excuse not to train legs. I find leg day to be the hardest and most rewarding day of training (sorta fun to practically limp out of the gym, haha). But you are right, I guess I'm worried about getting big legs because I honestly don't see anything appealing about them. I'm currently bulking and doing a 5x5 on all the compound lifts with additional accessory work, and i'm already starting to have trouble fitting into my jeans (yes, they are skinny). So should I just stick to doing what I'm doing or mainly squats like in starting strength? Thanks for the input, I appreciate it man!
just squat or full leg day? I'm not afraid of squatting. my question is should I JUST be squatting for legs or should I keep my all-out leg routine with the other work listed above?
just squat or full leg day? 1. buy real jeans...men shound't be wearing women's jeans 2. it takes YEARS/DECADES to build bodybuilder legs 3. Do SS 4. shut up and squat chicken legs.
just squat or full leg day? Well if your main concern is strength and you are just starting, Starting Strength seems like a good bet...
just squat or full leg day? 1. Too bad i'm not wearing women's jeans... 2. I understand. 3. I understand. 4. I already do squat.
just squat or full leg day? well hate to break it to ya, but your opinion doesn't constitute as universal fact. my style is gonna be my style, and yours is yours. I didn't post on here to be hassled about the clothing that I wear, I posted for advice about lifting. thanks anyways, homie!
