14 years old, 5'6, 120lb, looking to build some muscle, make all KINDS of gains. Last time I was here, I was told that I need to fix my routine, so I (think I) did. Here she is: Caloric Intake: 1800/day ---------- Monday - Chest & Tricep: Tricep Dumbbell Kickbacks - 2xfailure Standing Dumbbell Tricep Extensions - 3xfailure Pushups - 3xfailure Wednesday - Shoulder & Bicep: Neutral Dumbbell Press - 3xfailure Lateral Raises - 4xfailure Zottman Curls - 1xfailure Bicep Curls - 2xfailure Hammer Curls - 2xfailure Friday - Back, Lats, & Forearms Chinups - 3xfailure Palms-Down Wrist Curls - 3xfailure Palms-Up Wrist Curls - 2xfailure Sunday - Abs and Legs Crunches - 2xfailure Situps - 2xfailure Squats - 2x30 Lunges - 3x20 I've heard a lot of things about burning your central nervous system out and stuff, but I'm not really sure if I want to believe it. I think you need to push as hard as possible when working out. So... how does my routine sound?
Just wrote this routine, sound good? I didn't even read the routine but I saw that it is a bro split, so low frequency, but you have no volume. So no. Also, eat more.
Just wrote this routine, sound good? No. Too many isolation movements, you need more compound movements and you need to focus more on the larger muscle groups, you only have push ups for chest, that's pathetic. Also it's best to work each muscle group twice a week with low volume Do Babylovers SS or Lule McDonalds upper/lower split
Just wrote this routine, sound good? Your lacking nearly all the compounds and have more exercises for smaller muscles then you do bigger more important ones.... Should I list off some compounds??
Just wrote this routine, sound good? I'm focusing on the muscles I want most, though. I also don't have very much I can do for my chest, can't go to a gym or anything. Just have a couple of dumbbells and my effort. 1800 calories is because I want to lose fat. Really, I just want my arms to get bigger and to have a six-pack. Very stereotypical, I know, but that's what I want. Will I see results from this though? Even IF it is against everything you guys have learned here, I'll still see the results I want? Maybe if I crank up the caloric intake a bit? Maybe, 2000cal? 2300?
Just wrote this routine, sound good? No. You don't want to lose weight You don't want to concentrate on the muscles you think you do However, you DO want to listen to the people who know their Sh*t
