A common question I get asked alot is the following.

How long will it take before I see or feel any results from training?

This question is quite open ended but I can give you in my professional experience a general answer.
First of all we need to know what kind of training programme you are on. For example results for different aspects of training will differ from whatever the goal is. If you are training to lose weight the plan will not be the same as if you was looking to gain weight and muscle mass. Also if you are training to run a marathon the noticeable results will again be different to other types of training.

I have read on numerous occasions that if looking at weight loss it is possible to lose significant body fat in the short term which is predominantly made up of water. When you reach a certain level it becomes more difficult to reduce your weight while also toning your muscle. Is this a fair summary?

My brother lost a lot of weight by running and going to the gym to the point where he has run more than 10 marathons. One thing that struck me was when he reached a certain weight loss and he struggled to lose any more. Was this a mix of improved muscle tone and/or the fact that his body and metabolism had simply reached its natural level?

A lot of people expect to see results overnight - it doesnt happen that way.

It depends on your current fitness level and the type of training you’re doing, but you should start to see and feel results within a few weeks to a month of consistent training.

I wonder if there are people out there who can publish their own programs on this website? A lot of people dont know where to start or indeed how to get started.
