Infraspinatus strength exercise

The infraspinatus muscle is located in the shoulder and is responsible for external rotation of the arm. To increase strength in this muscle, one effective exercise is the external rotation exercise.
This exercise can be performed with a resistance band or dumbbell. Start by holding the band or weight in one hand with your elbow bent at a 90-degree angle and your forearm resting against your stomach. Keeping your elbow close to your body, rotate your arm outward, away from your body. Pause at the top of the movement and then slowly return to the starting position.
By incorporating this exercise into your routine, you can improve infraspinatus strength and prevent shoulder injury.
