I want to lose 17 pounds. Whats the best approach at a 250 calorie deficit to do this. I dont care if it takes me a year to lose it.
Would i lose strength cutting at a 250 calorie deficit? REPS for good responses Care for some broscience Intermittent Fasting for you? Try it out, works wonders for many others.
Would i lose strength cutting at a 250 calorie deficit? REPS for good responses no cliffs: - nonretarded deficit - keep lifting heavy (maintaing intesnity while cutting is probably the single most important factor in gaining/maintaing strength) - adequate protein
Would i lose strength cutting at a 250 calorie deficit? REPS for good responses i think ANY deficit will EVENTUALLY lead to at least a little strength loss, b/c over time you WILL still lose weight and some driving force to your lifts....but i think the rate of loss will certainly be much slower and much less noticeable. go for it.
Would i lose strength cutting at a 250 calorie deficit? REPS for good responses Maybe deep into a contest prep or if you cut for way too long. A normal cut, you should still gain strength, or maintain AT THE VERY LEAST.
Would i lose strength cutting at a 250 calorie deficit? REPS for good responses If I went down to two meals a day id pretty much be doing that already. I would eat at 12 and 5pm for my last meal and fast until 12 pm.
Would i lose strength cutting at a 250 calorie deficit? REPS for good responses It will take 34 weeks at that pace...why not cut a little more aggressively(500cals) to cut that time in half? Muscle and strength loss will be minimal and most likely nonexistent assuming you are not an extremely advanced lifter who is near genetic potential.
Would i lose strength cutting at a 250 calorie deficit? REPS for good responses Im just a normal dude, but i found strength starts to diminish after weeks and weeks and not a result of the overall deficit even when minimal. I think high protein is the key though, my opinion. For you, id do a 5-600 cal deficit, with adequate protein an carbs you should be able to maintain near everything.
Would i lose strength cutting at a 250 calorie deficit? REPS for good responses I might just do the 250 and see if I can gain still and if i cant ill take it slower. I want to move up in weights on the bench press but get to 138 so I can compete in the disabled class at 123.4.
Would i lose strength cutting at a 250 calorie deficit? REPS for good responses I make zero strength gains at a 500 calorie deficit. I want to make some while doing this. I know that if I cut for two weeks at 500 deficit I still make gains so I could do that and do 4 weeks at maintenance and switch back to the cycle of 2 weeks again and repeat.
