Where do I stand. Cars 70miles away and if i buy i need to get it home, is there a leverage in me getting it home? He cant tax it because he's not insured. Thanks
Buying a car without tax surely you'l insure it to drive home? just take the insurance certificate they email you to the nearest post office and buy tax
Buying a car without tax No there is no point even trying it. If you get caught then its points on licence fine etc. The only way you can drive without tax is if you have your car booked into the nearest mot station and the police will probably want proof aswell so they might phone them up.Couldnt you tax the car yourself or get a mate with a transporter etc to collect it?
Buying a car without tax There is no leniance for no tax mate, insure it, tax it, pick it up, get it collected by someone with a recovery truck OR run the gauntlet.. There are NO points for driving without tax, just a fine.... Or try and borrow some trade plates from someone.
Buying a car without tax if you have another car you could hire a trailer for probably around £40 , and toe it back home...
Buying a car without tax Show the plod the proof of purchase if you get pulled and your insurance and you'll be fine.
Buying a car without tax sorry for delay, yes its MOT'd and as far as im aware im covered 3rd party due to my insurance (think). Trade plates a easier option then?
Buying a car without tax looks like its a trailor job. perhaps i can get tax online but cars not in my name yet?
