So on my chest day I have DB flat, DB incline, and machine flies.. Occasionally I would throw in decline and cable crossovers or the cable raises from the low pulley (not sure of name.. Hands at sides and raise up and together around your head) My question is, assuming I am doing flat bench, incline, and flies.. Would those 2 cable exercises be unnecessary or good to add? I'm just unsure of what they target exactly. (I don't mean cable flies , as some people call them crossovers on YouTube I've noticed)
Chest day question (reps) Sounds like your doing front and lateral raises which works the shoulders (delts). I would do cable flies on chest day and save the others for shoulder day.
Chest day question (reps) No I know what those are .. I'm talking about something else. Grip with palms facing up not a shoulder exercise
Chest day question (reps) Yes hands begin at sides and pinkies come together around my head.. Palms up the whole time.. Cables are as low as possible .. Both sides at once of the cable crossover machine.. My bad just dk what it's called
Chest day question (reps) I know what cable exercise you're talking about. Those are good but from what ive seen with my chest is to just do more based on how i feel. I really like to hit flat and incline db's heavy and then do machine flies and maybe cable crossovers or some other cable exercise (sometimes the one you're describing) for 15 reps with a really nice squeeze on every rep
Chest day question (reps) Incline cable flies, I do them too. I like to put max effort into flat, decline and incline press. I usually end chest day with the cable flies your doing. They're good exercises and I'd leave them in the routine if I was you.
