Does eating in a deficit just lead to the same thing - feeling tired in the gym? Or does the deficit come about from burning about ~500 extra calories on top of BMR?

its called broscience. Do it if you want. Why are you asking for reasons not to then arguing with them? If you think keto has magic benefits do it. I don't care how you eat. You asked for the reason not to and I gave it

I am asking a question about my prior knowledge, broscience or not, for clarification. I'm not arguing I'm trying to understand. Your attitude is terrible, btw.

It's probably incorrect. It's no different than Dr. Oz saying that safflower oil is a magic fat loss potion or that sprinkling a powder on your food will help you lose weight.

Weight loss is calories in vs. calories out. Everything else should be taken with a very large grain of salt. Actually, a 50-pound bag of salt.

Not a good idea to try to get people to convince you that a diet sucks when there are others out there having great success on it. In fact, it's a pretty damn insulting.

If you don't want to do it - don't fecking do it.
      It's a simple as that.

BTW. My attitude may seem terrible as well but you can take it as a reponse to what is truly a pathetic thread.

Haha. Dr. Oz is pretty funny, usually watch him when I need a laugh or two!
