Basically just how these people lift so much and yet are ripped/rather big... How could you cycle both strength training and hypertrophy to achieve a ripped physique with above-normal lifts. Would PHAT be something similar. Thanks for the reply

Jim Wendlers 5/3/1 with the template of Boring but big and the Triumphant works well. I know its makes no sense me just saying this, but give the 5/3/1 SECOND EDITION a read. Worth it IMO, combines Strength via Heavy compounds an Hypertrophy by following the same compounds but with less weight an more volume and frequency (When doing boring but big) an you can throw in some isolation exercises if you wish.

Edit: To achieve a ripped physique you must bulk (gain muscle + fat) then cut (loose the fat), for most people no two can be done at once, an the same goes for these Olympic lifters, they bulk up an aim to gain strength an size, then afterwards cut to meet there given weight class.

There's a fair deal of technique they use to they don't just barbarically throw the weight around snapping their **** up.

Olympic do not train for hyperthrophy. Hyperthrophy is a byproduct of heavy ass lifting 7 times a week, twice a day. It is not a desirable outcome for a lot of lifters.
