      Was my doctor correct in saying this?

      There is no significant difference in testosterone levels. You may experience increased testosterone levels for a while after the workout, but it really wouldn't be enough to cause any harm because your body will never go outside of a safe range by itself. It's just not possible. I've heard that squats and deadlifts help increase testosterone and HGH, but in reality, the amount is almost negligible. So just keep lifting and have fun with it.
