I'm on my first cut. What is the point of lifting weights on it if you know that you can't build additional muscle at a deficit... It seems like it would be almost harmful It would make more sense to be doing full body exercises instead of just isolated ones like delt raises or something... So since it's delt day, what exercises should I do?
What is the point of lifting weights on a cut? Anything that normally builds muscle will help maintain muscle while ur cutting. Stick to big compound movements a few days a week. Bench press. Squat. Row. Etc..
What is the point of lifting weights on a cut? when you cut you lose muscle and fat. To help preserve muscle you lift weights. extremely important.
What is the point of lifting weights on a cut? Well first off, you want to try and retain as much muscle as possible. Lifting heavy will do this. Second, many people, from what I've heard, have actually gained size/strength on a caloric deficit while Intermittent Fasting. Most likely due to the increased growth hormone. Lastly, Not only does weight lifting burn calories, lifting generations EPOC (Or so I've heard.) What is the point of lifting weights on a cut? This is the main reason. You want to maintain muscle mass and strength while you are cutting so you don't lose anything. When you cut your body is very vunerable to changing form so you have to do things to keep your body in good condition.
What is the point of lifting weights on a cut? REP RANGE Should it be higher or the same. Should sets be less or more. Give me some more compound exercise ideas. And I know delt day, I'm just behind and had to leave them out last time.
What is the point of lifting weights on a cut? Do your same routine, change your diet. Any pressing motion will hit shoulders, weighted dips, all the big compounds ill work your shoulders, no need to isolate them until until a solid strength base is formed IMO. Deads, weighted chins, pendlay rows hit the rear head pretty hard, laterals should take care of themselves. Incline bench, flat bench, and OHP will hit the anterior head hard.
What is the point of lifting weights on a cut? I mean the basic compounds are pretty much similar in most routines. Bench, deadlift, squat, overhead press, bent over row, power cleans etc.
