What makes some older women pursue younger guys.

I'm a 26 year old guy, and the whole "cougar" and "milf" craze has never made much sense to me. Don't get me wrong,
there are many attractive older women, but I don't what's so great beyond that. However, the other day, I was at
Whole FOods and this cougar started talking to me and she eventually mentioned how she thought that older men were pigs
and she thought that younger guys were more active and "better". I mentioned to her that almost ALL men are pigs, regardless
of age. In any case, I'm really curious as to why some older women want to date younger guys. I under if it's just a
one night stand or fwb situation, but what's with those who actually want a relationship with a younger guy. What's
the thing that draws some older women to younger guys.

It probably will never make sense to me, but I'd like to hear your thoughts.

I have no idea, as I've always preferred men slightly older than me...the younger ones always got on my nerves, LOL. Maybe some of it is them trying to "recapture" their youth or maybe denial? I would say virility, but now that there are things like viagra and cialis, I dunno, LOL. Sure to be an interesting thread

Yeah, I would think that younger guys are just going to be immature losers who still don't know how to "live life" and aren't emotionally stable yet, so they'd
definitely be more likely to get on their partner's nerves.

The few I dated def. were...but that was almost 9 years ago, so I was younger then too, LOL Hubs is only a couple years older than me, but I've dated some that were as much as 10 years older. I'm not even sure what constitutes a cougar?

How old was that cougar? Sounds like she was in her 30's. Maybe a cougar in training? Then again I never got the whole cougar idea. If you like someone, age is just one other factor when it comes to compatibility. If it's hook ups and fun, well, that happens at all kinds of ages and age ranges.

Why do some men prefer younger women? Why do some women guys with this or that? There's no one answer It all comes down to personal preference. What personality attracts me, what physical traits attract me are going to be different from what attracts someone else.

There could be some psychological explanations for why an older women/men would pursue a younger partner. I know that opens a whole can of worms and
don't mean to offend anyone, so I will not proceed any further on that topic.

I have a friend who I think of as a "cougar". She likes the 20 something guys. She is in her early 40's. She is one of those ladies that feels like she deserves to be young forever. I think in her case she does this because she feels like it will make her look and feel younger. Actually makes her look like an idiot in my book chasing around men that are so much younger than her especially when she has children the same age. JMO!

I also have another set of friends who are 15 years apart in age and they have been happily married for 14 years.
