hah yeah, i didn't mean walk in and when the ask what qualifications i have flex in their face

but yeah i know what you mean i would deffo want to be trained by someone that practices what they preach, its reassuring more than anything, proof it works / they know what they are doing.

Yeah true ive only ever seen one PT that was a monster, the rest looked like average joes. Yeah youve got a point but i just like gym atmosphere and hang around my gym and chat to people and eat there and stuff anyway so if i could get payed to hang around there and just put weights away / clean the place i would be happy

I would rather work at a hardcore gym but cant really be fussy, i am friendly with everyone that works at my gym including the woman that owns it, a few of the ones that work there are competing this month so they might want someone to help out around the gym so i could ask.

if you are friendly with the people at your gym deffo ask, but most gyms do want qualifications and some allow you to work there while you are studying for your qualification.

Level 2 in the minimum requirement to work in a gym as a fitness instructor, an example of what they do is give inductions when you first join up etc, level 3 is that of a personal trainer, for someone who gives a one on one personal training sessions, either privately working for themselves, or for a gym, you need to pass the level 2 as a pre requisite to do the level 3 qualification.
